Wearable Safety Monitoring Device
Purdue Senior Design — Parents of toddlers with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) experience an inability to safely and sustainably monitor their child’s safety around water when their child is drawn to water but lacks danger-awareness and existing safety tools fail to protect the child (sensory meltdowns, getting tampered off, or being bypassed). This leads to vigilance fatigue, elevated caregiver anxiety, and a higher drowning risk for children with ASD compared to their peers. We are designing a wearable, inflatable shirt that sends immediate parent alerts, is tamper-proof so the child cannot remove it, and use sensory- friendly materials that avoid triggering meltdowns.

Crutch Converted to Angled Seat
Sophomore Design — I served as the Project Manager for a team designing a standing aid that lets users switch between traditional crutch use and a supported standing or resting position. This project arose from the problem of people who have trouble standing for long periods of time.
I led the team through functional decompositions, requirement definitions, and engineering modeling. We used Siemens NX to design a 3-legged, foldable prototype meeting weight, strength, and portability requirements, including a 158.76 kg maximum load, 1.82 kg total weight, and 6,000 psi structural compressive strength.

Adjustable Oven Rack Design Challenge
GE Appliances Co-op Design Challenge — I collaborated with four other interdisciplinary engineering co-ops, including electrical, mechanical, and software co-ops, to successfully produce an automated adjustable oven rack system that allows the user to change rack heights during cooking. During this project, I experienced the full engineering design process, including providing proofs of concept, utilizing prototyping equipment, analyzing potential design failures, and presenting our final product in a design showcase. The efforts put into these five months led my team and I to submit a patent for the product.
Project Liaison
Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) — For this project, my team and I partnered with Habitat for Humanity to design a specialized storage unit for concrete blankets to protect critical construction equipment during the winter seasons. I utilized SolidWorks to develop detailed CAD models and structural assemblies as well as ran FEA simulations on the sturcture to ensure the safety of the customers. Serving as the project liaison, I regularly communicated technical progress updates, managed project timelines, and addressed any questions or concerns that may have arisen.

Where’s Waldo? A Detailed Analysis on How to Find Waldo Via Computation
Purdue University College of Engineering — In this project, I implemented a Python-based template matching system for object detection using three algorithms: Sum of Squared Differences, Cross-Correlation, and Normalized Cross-Correlation, to automatically locate Waldo within complex images. This same detection model was then used on many other similar systems.
